Forbidden: The Awakening by Samantha Sommersby

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Forbidden series. If you like vampire stories like I do, you will love Samantha Sommersby's twist on the vampire legend. Also, the books are written in the POV of the hero- which is fabulously done and rare to see. Which character is going to tell the story in the next book is yet to be seen, but check out the little teaser she left on her blog for Forbidden: The Revolution (sixth entry down). Does Samantha have the hottest covers or what? Also, be sure and check out my review for Forbidden: The Claim, if you haven't already!

Paranormal Erotic Romance

When Violet showed up on the doorstep of Byron’s island home, it wasn’t long before he realized he couldn’t resist her any more than she could resist him. But now he has to do everything in his power to keep them both safe from his Clan, who forbid mating between vampires and humans. Byron has spent the last eight agonizing weeks away from Violet, creating a new identity and erasing all traces of his whereabouts. But there are forces that don’t need a paper trail to find them, forces that have made it more than clear that they’re already present…

The Awakening is the dramatic second book in the Forbidden series. Samantha Sommersby delivers a story filled with love, heat, non-stop action, and exciting twists that you never expected. Like Violet and Byron, you won’t know who to trust until the secrets are uncovered. Sommersby flawlessly weaves in characters from her earlier books, and new readers will find they HAVE to know these characters’ stories. Expect to feel a lot of passion between the hero and heroine, as well as astonishment when you discover things that will shake Byron's foundations of everything he's believed. The Forbidden series generates a completely new vampire legend, and you won’t want to wait for the next book! Forbidden: The Awakening is heart-pounding ride, and Samantha Sommersby just gets better and better!

Official Blurb:
The past two months have been the longest of Byron Renfield's three hundred and seventy-nine years. After almost four centuries of dedicated service to his clan, four centuries spent in the pursuit of redemption, the powerful vampire did the inexplainable and unforgivable. In an impulsive act of passion he claimed the beautiful Violet Deeds, a human, as his mate.

When Violet found herself stranded on a remote island occupied by the charismatic Byron she never imagined that she would be saving him, but the fiery red-headed psychiatrist did just that-bringing the immortal to life and introducing him to love.

Now, afraid of retribution from his clan and concerned for Violet's safety, Byron takes steps to protect them both. But will it be enough? Irrevocably bound together, as the tie between Byron and Violet strengthens, they step into one another's worlds, awakening long buried desires and threatening the balance of society and nature.

A kidnapping, an underground world of rebel vampires, an elaborate network of elite clansman led by an ageless prophet, and a rescue mission that will keep you on the edge of your seat all come together perfectly in this thrilling sequel to Samantha Sommersby's Forbidden The Claim. Forbidden The Awakening is an erotic romance that you won't be able to put down!

To be a good lenient being is to from a make of openness to the far-out, an cleverness to group uncertain things beyond your own restrain, that can lead you to be shattered in very outermost circumstances as which you were not to blame. That says something uncommonly impressive about the prerequisite of the honest life: that it is based on a conviction in the unpredictable and on a willingness to be exposed; it's based on being more like a shop than like a prize, something fairly fragile, but whose extremely special handsomeness is inseparable from that fragility.
