Driven to Justice by Alice Gaines

Yet another review I finished up over Fall Break. :-) This book, as you will see me say in my "critique" portion of the review, is an entirely new paranormal aspect. Shape-shifting machines? Who would have thought of that! It was a GREAT twist!

Charlene Thomas is a motorcycle cop, and a great one at that. However, a few months ago, she was sexually assaulted by a group of men and her own stubbornness is keeping her from what she loves the most: her job. All she wants is to get back to her job to make these men pay for what they did to her. Then, one day, as Charley is leaving to get some fresh air, a mysterious and expensive package shows up in her driveway, with no return address, and it’s exactly what she could ever want: a brand new motorcycle. But the motorcycle is much more than what it seems, it’s a Mannhof, which means it can shift into a man…
That man is Nick, and he was made especially for Charley. He’s everything a woman in her shoes could ever want: sweet ride, loving man, and strength. It’s up to Charley to look past the impossibility of a shape-shifting machine though. Because if she doesn’t, she’ll never have Nick, and she may never be able to fully recover from the trauma she suffered. With Nick’s help, he can make her whole again, but only if she’s willing…

Be prepared to enter an entirely new world when you get down to read Driven to Justice. Gaines has crafted a story unlike anything I have personally ever read or even heard of, and I absolutely loved it. The idea of shape-shifting machines is entirely new and refreshing. The storyline was consistent, and the characters were fully developed, as well as easily relatable, which only added to the greatness of Driven to Justice. Charley and Nick are a perfect match: emotionally, physically, mentally, and every other way imaginable. You really want Charley to overcome her obstacles in order to be able to fully accept Nick for whom and what he is. I would definitely recommend Driven to Justice to anyone, and would love to read more of Alice Gaines’ work!

Official Blurb:
Charley Thomas is in danger of losing the job she loves as a motorcycle cop. The stress of having suffered a brutal assault makes her a risk to herself and her fellow officers. If only she could remember more details of the assault, she could round up the creeps and make them pay.

When the sexy German motorcycle mysteriously shows up in her driveway, she can’t resist a ride. Little does she suspect that the bike is also a man who will help her to track down the rapists and feel whole again.
