RELEASED TODAY!!! When I requested Upon Eagle's Light from PNR, I had no idea what treat I was in for. It really left me speechless, it was so wonderful. Not only is it unlike anything you'll ever read, but it really pulls you through so many emotions as you read it. This is one of those books I would have awarded A Must-Read award to, had I reviewed it for Rogues and Romance, and I will not be surprised when this book starts receiving all kinds of awards. This book does not contain any sex scenes, but is still very sensual in a touch, a kiss, and a look- and the violence is not explicit and appropriate to the storyline. In my opinion, as well as adults of all sensitivities, I think young adults would enjoy this book as well. No matter what age or sensitivity you are, Upon Eagle's Light is one you can't miss!

It was a fantastic read, and you HAVE to check it out! :-) I e-mailed the ladies to let them know I had the review done, and also, that I would be posting it live, today. And they said that, Lady Luck is one of their most over-looked works, because of the anthology it's in. I couldn't believe it! I actually have not got a chance to read the rest of the anthology; I just wanted to crank out the review for Lady Luck! :-) Anyways, I highly recommend trying Lady Luck out. As it's in an Anthology, it's shorter than the average novel, and if you're wanting to give the Price Sister's a try, this is absolutely perfect! :-) Enjoy the review!

The authors amaze you with their ability to spin an amazing story of the Unicorn-shifters effortlessly, as if it’s been done a million times. The characters, the story, and the settings jump right out at you, and you will have no problem picturing everything in your mind, thanks to it all being brilliantly described without you even knowing it. BOO! So, this is our official Halloween kick-off post? I suppose. :-) I did this review a while back, for PNR, and I've been anxiously awaiting to post it, here! It was an absolutely fantstic read, and I highly recommend it. Even if you can't get to it during the Halloween season, you can read it just about anytime of the year. Don't you just love books like that? They're specific to a season or holiday, but versatile enough to be read anytime. :-) So, check it out, I highly recommend it! :-)

Not to mention, he’s on the run too. Celeste feels as if she’s known Tristan forever, and on their first night together, they take part in the Great Marriage. Thus, finding out that they are each others soul mate, and together must fulfill a prophecy. Then, Tristan disappears, until a year later when Celeste finds him and saves his life, and he then only comes back to her each year after that on Halloween. But Shortly before the 3rd year of their meeting, Celeste is taken back to her childhood home by her sister. It’s a trap for both Celeste and Tristan, and the question remains: Will they be able to save each other ? This is the first story in the Midnight Encounters Anthology. I liked how Hart didn’t dwell too much on what happened during the time Celeste and Tristan were apart. I kept wanting to read to find out what was happening between these two soul mates. It has heavy sex scenes as well as heavy sexual language, to warn those who might find that offensive.
Bad Moon Rising by Sabrina Luna Megan McShaw is a wolf in her local pack, and one night, she gets a message over a police scanner that there’s a rogue wolf at the town bar. Megan goes and picks Derek up as he’s running down the street…naked. She then takes him to her father’s cabin in order to get him back in tip-top shape. Derek’s been a lone wolf for awhile, and Megan can sense that he’s searching for something OR someone. But now it’s up to Megan to get him accepted into the pack, while also trying to fight off his advances that may or may not be caused by “moon fever.” Simply a great shifter romance. Luna leaves you cheering for Derek and Megan, both as a team and also lovers. There is strong sexual language, but the sex scenes themselves aren’t prolonged or too explicit. The ending however will leave you feeling satisfied, while also making the whole story worthwhile.
Scaredy Kat by Dahlia Rose Kat feels like your average, or sometimes even less than average 25 year old woman. Her friends say she’s gorgeous, but she just doesn’t see it, and after all of her failed relationships, she REALLY doesn’t see it. So, after her friend’s Halloween party, at which her friends husband tries to set her up with an accountant, who is shall we say is BO-ring, Kat tries to summon forth her true love, through magic. After all, she reasons, that there’s no use in being a witch if you can’t help yourself out every once in awhile. But, her spell works in a way that she never coming, sending her and her true love into highly unusual circumstances. This story had me laughing at points, and all in all, just enjoying the read.. Rose knows just what kind of characters to throw into the mix, to keep the reader entertained. The characters learn much from each other, and help each other a lot too. A couple of heavy sex scenes, and at times a tad bit explicit, as warning. However, I did find some of the ways that the dialogue flowed (at certain points) to be a little awkward. Scaredy Kat also has a fantastic ending.
Dirty Deeds by Eliza Gayle Megan once traded her soul for the perfect body, any girl or woman would die for: blonde, skinny, beautiful, and her sex life is amazing. But now she’s employed in Hell…literally, and her boss is an ancient demon, as is she. And part of her job is description is taking the souls of those whom she beds, but she’s really not cut out for the job, and therefore has a hard time meeting her monthly quotas. Now, she has 5 days to meet one month’s quota, or she’s turned over to the gatekeeper of hell for her punishment. And she does okay, until Drake…who also happens to be a demon…You’ll just have to see where “eternity” takes her… Three words: Sex Sex Sex. Despite the many, erotic sex scenes and some BDSM all thorough the entire story, it’s very well written, and there’s still a storyline, which keeps the reader drawn into what is going on, and what could or will happen.
Midnight Encounters Anthology As a whole, Midnight Encounters was very well written. All of the stories have sex scenes, but none of which drag the reader away from the storyline or plot. Every reader is bound to find something they like in each story, and the authors each bring something different and original to the table, which helped to maintain my interest in each story, and also to keep me reading to find out what the next author had in store for me. It’s a great Halloween read as well, seeing as how each story takes place on or around Halloween, and each story has a tie-in to the affect the Halloween season has on each of them, whether they’re a vampire, witch, or shifter.
We were lucky enough to get several review requests from Stella and Audra Price, and I have had a blast getting introduced to their world- the Eververse. Since their book Gifts is being released today, this is the first review I'm posting. But be on the lookout for many more reviews of Stella and Audra's books- and be prepared, because you'll want to read every single one!

Christmas time is coming, and Marsh has been thinking about the perfect gift for Janey. He knows that she has never had a real family, and he wants to give that to her by taking her to meet his parents. Unfortunately, that entails telling her about the part where his parents are King and Queen of his people, which of course makes him the Prince. It’s not his title that’s the problem, but the fact that this is the first she’ll be hearing of this little detail!
Once they get to his parent’s place, a citadel in Austria, Janey meets his wacky but strangely likeable mother, and his lecherous and handsy father. On top of dealing with all the revelations and getting to know Marsh’s eccentric parents, there’s a psycho princess that is determined to have Marsh and the throne. When the princess figures out getting Marsh is not going to happen, she decides the throne by itself will do just fine- and takes out a hit on him. But she’s not the only princess that has their eye on Marsh, there’s plenty more and they would love to see Janie out of the picture, by whatever means necessary.
Just as Janey is starting to handle on the whole situation, her mentor, Trent Duvall, shows up and tells her that someone very close to them has gone missing. He's gone back to his native soil in Africa, and even though he left of his own free will, he must be brought back if Janey, Trent, and Marsh want to see him alive again. He’s put himself in a very dangerous situation by going back when the rogue angel he originally escaped from is still in power. Trent and Marsh, along with some help including Mal the vampire, go to Africa to take care of business- while Janey stays in Austria. This puts a whole new meaning to “surviving the holiday season”!
Gifts is the third book in Stella and Audra Price’s Duvall Inc. series, and the best one yet! In this book, we finally learn the secrets of our tight-lipped hero Marsh, and see his and Janey’s characters reach new depths. We also at last meet the oft mentioned Trent Duvall, Janey’s father figure/mentor/business partner. Fans will adore seeing a more tender side of Marsh and Janey (while still kicking ass and taking names when necessary), and new readers will fall in love with the characters instantaneously. But not just our hero and heroine! The Price Sisters really know how to create unique supporting characters as well, each standing out from the background, when usually supporting characters have the tendency to blend in. The authors will never bore you with one plotline that gets drawn out unnecessarily- they blend together several exciting subplots seamlessly and always keep you entertained! You will be drawn in by the fast-pace of the story, the fantastic characters, and new developments in the series. The action just keeps going, one thing after another- and you will love it! Gifts is a fantastic present to paranormal romance readers from Stella and Audra Price!

I was so excited when Chaterine Chernow asked Rogues and Romance to review Lady in White. Upon recieivng a copy to review, I read it all in on sitting! It was absolutely fantastic, and a real page turner! I for one cannot wait until the second installment, Tiger's Eye comes out in December 2007

Turning her attention to the door, Serena sees the outline of a man, and arms herself with a frying pan, but it turns out that the man at the door is Clarice’s nephew, and things start to heat up between Serena and Seth…
With the spice between Serena and Seth, and the mystery of the Lady in White, this short story is sure to please everyone who reads it! Catherine Chernow does a fantastic job of creating hot and heavy scenes, as well as eerie and creepy ones, to keep the reader intensely entertained. Even though this is a novella of only 58 pages, the reader will be pleasantly surprised at the great detail that is put down. The author is also able to maintain a fantastic storyline, with a fully developed plot, and if the reader finds themselves wanting more, they will be more than pleased to know this is the first installment for the Bride’s Inn series.

Our Awards
We currently have two awards: the Must-Read and the Erotic Must Read. The Must-Read is for books with outstanding writing, story, and characters. The Erotic Must-Read has nothing to do with the book genre- it was created to acknowledge those books whose sex scenes really sizzle! These are the books that have those certain scenes that we revisit when we're feeling a little steamy!
Our Rating System
Because we do have some sensitive readers out there, we have ratings for both the sensuality and the violent content in each book. They are on a 1-5 scale, and the higher the number, the more graphic the element is. You can find a detailed explanation of the ratings further down in the sidebar.
Rogues and Romance does not rate books based on how "good" the reviewer thinks they are. We do not believe it's fair to rate book based on one opinion. However, there are some books that deserve special recognition- ones that really stand out in story, characters, and writing. We will reward these books with a special "Rogues and Romance Must-Read" award.
To keep things simple, we do not rate or award must-reads to reviews we do for other sites. There are a few we would love to, but it would not be right (and would be confusing) to employ our rating system on a book we reviewed elsewhere.
